Review Of The Panasonic Viera TX-P50v10B 1080P Plasma Television

Posted under Panasonic

The Panasonic TX-P50V10B is a fantastic find for someone who is wanting to purchase a new television that can give them top of the line picture and sound quality, while offering a entire new world of options and features. The first of these features that caught my eye was the different viewing mode options. The different viewing mode options you can choose from are: Normal, Cinema, Dynamic, Game and THX mode.

I must say kudos to Panasonic for managing to achieve a sensational picture quality no matter which of the five modes you decide is best for your viewing purposes. The THX certified mode (THX certification means the picture available is near that in the cinema, having surpassed the brightness and colour quality of other televisions) makes the images on the screen look realistic enough to reach into the television and touch them. The deep and vibrant colours coupled with an excellent response time in game mode beat all those other televisions hands down.

As if the fantastic picture quality on the Panasonic TX-P50V10B weren’t enough, the amazing amount of features with this television blew my mind. It is DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) compliant, it comes with VIERA CAST which allows you to view online content through a built in web interface, DivX compatible, VIERA Tools, and VIERA Link which allows you to control multiple AV devices with just the VIERA remote.

The Freesat service is another awesome feature that you get when purchasing the Panasonic TX-P50V10B. Freesat is a high definition (HD) digital satellite service that comes along with your television. The service provides you with loads of free high definition programs, along with some other various interactive content. Freesat can basically be considered your ticket to enjoying great sound and picture combined with free High Definition programming.

I have had trouble on some of my previous televisions in finding adequate inputs for my needs. My problem of lack of input types has not only been solved ten fold with the TX-P50V10B. Inputs on this model include the VIERA Image Viewer, HDMI, Composite video, S-Video, Component video, PC, LAN and 21-pin scart inputs. This pretty much means if you need to connect something to it, you can.

Overall I am nothing but impressed with the Panasonic TX-P50V10B. The price is a little steeper than a lot of the other televisions that have flooded the market these days, but when going for quality electronics I feel it is really worth spending a little bit more money in order to get the outstanding picture quality and great of features that come along with the Panasonic TX-P50V10B. It really doesn’t matter whether you are a huge movie fanatic who wants to get as close as possible to cinema quality as you can without leaving the house, a gaming fan who wants graphics so life-like they feel a part of the game, or just someone who is looking for a new high quality television with great picture and sound, I would highly recommend giving the Panasonic TX-P50V10B a try.
